Thinking about women-music legend, you may think to great artists like Janis Joplin, Patti Smith, Debbie Harry, Stevie Nicks, Grace Slick, Joan Baez and so on.But in the world of the music and first of all of rock from that amazing period of 60s and 70s there were other types of woman-myths. Beauty, audacious, determined, with the desire to experiment everything in life, love and everything that that was happening in those years behind the scenes and not only, there were the muses of the rock, wives, fiancées, secretaries, groupies.

Women that inspired great musicians to compose some of the most beautiful songs of the history of rock.
One of those special women have been the fabulous Pattie Boyd, one of the greatest top model of that time, ex wife of George Harrison before and of Eric Clapton later.
For Pattie the two great musicians wrote unique songs like “Wonderful Tonight”, “Layla”, “Something”, timeless masterpieces.
The ex lady Harrison and Clapton is “all” an ex, except for two things: her beauty and the grace of her soul.
Today she is a famous and an acclaimed photographer and she lives traveling all around the world (mostly warm countries) and a woman in love with life, people, spreading a bright energy from her, still stunning skin.

Meeting her and having also a dinner together with her has been for me like a dream that comes true. Pattie Boyd was for me the divine Boyd, I have adored since I was a young girl, when I dreamt to get into the world of show business. The dream has come true and the lady has also invited me to join her in London next time…

Q – You don’t look like that young girl you with the big doe eyes that in the years ’60 and ’70 have lived such marvelously life of sex, drugs and rock and roll. You are an angel of joy and you are giving me a positive light. How do you remember that years when you were one of the most important top models of the world too?

PB – Today I feel like a different person, more mature from that young and timid little girl, model of the ’60 and ’70 with so little confident in herself.

Q – Some years ago you released your best seller -tell all autobiography “Wonderul tonight”: the legend says that you have loved not only your husbands, Harrison and Clapton, but also you had affairs with Lennon and Jagger in the same time. Was it a female revenge or desire to try to be once more a muse of the rock for other two legends of the music?

PB – I have never had affairs with Mick and John. We were only good friends but nothing more. I was flattered that Mick Jagger made me the court, but I was not interested to him…

Q – How much did spirituality influenced in your life? Are you a meditator today?

PB – I am so happy to have discovered meditation when I was very young. It saved me many times, especially when I had so many problems during my two marriages.

Q – A lot of people believed that Harrison had discovered the Krisna meditation from that famous trip to India, but the history tells that it was you to introduce him to it…

PB – Yes, I talked to George about Transcendental Meditation, but when he started to obsessive with it, the situation became a worrisome for me. Furthermore in that same period, The Beatles were crossing a very critical moment (they were splitting up) and it became difficult and painful.

Q – Who’s been the man you indeed loved more in your life? And are you in love at the moment?

PB – I believe that George was the great love of my life, but Eric was too day by day. And no, I am not in love right now.

Q – do you think that musicians are too selfish ans self-centred when in loving deeply someone who is not the music itself?

PB – I think that musicians must be selfish for strength. It’s something that goes out from their control. They must be in contact with their creativeness. Then, the ability to love deeply is different for everyone of us and shown in so many different ways.

Q – Have you suffered for the lack of being a mother? After all for a woman it is a natural thing…

PB – I have suffered a lot for my “incapability” to have had a child… Yes, a lot. I think it would have helped for my marriages. I believe… But who knows now?

Q – Of that period of the Golden Age of Rock, with whom are you still in contact?

PB – I still have many friends in the world of the rock. I live in London next to Ringo (Starr) and I also join out Jeff Beck. Paul (McCartney) always hugs me with great affection when he meets me, and I always go to visit Eric (Clapton) in the backstages after his shows.

Q – So many times, in these years, I read that today you are indeed a happy woman. How much have were you unhappy during the two marriages with Harrison and Clapton and how happy are nowdays?

PB – I cannot explain so shortly the largeness of my unhappiness, and even of my happiness with my two husbands. This can be understood reading my autobiography (Wonderful Tonight) out some years ago. Now I only feel so lucky to have lived that wonderful life and those experiences too.

Q – You’re an appreciated photographer and you make exhibitions all over the world. When will you be in Italy?

PB – If you invite me for an exhibition, I’ll come gladly. I love Italy (and she laughs).

Q – your book “Wonderful Tonight” in Italy has never gone out, unfortunately…

PB – I’d love my book to be out in Italy… We need a publisher. I was a long time ago in contact with a girl who wanted to translate it in Italian, but she disappeared …

Q – You’re also a great traveller…

PB – When readers will read us I might be catching the sun in Cartagena (Colombia) having a beautiful experience with the Colombian culture, so exotic and so interesting…!

Q – Projects for 2013?

PB – Soon I have to take the photos for the cover of an album…isn’t that nice?
