Art&Pastry is the first edition of a festival that informs on the art of fine pastry, through a program that embraces workshops, tastings, panels, exhibitions and competitions. The festival will take place in the Swiss venue of Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano, on the 2nd and 3rd of March.

On the first day there will be the panel “Cinque sensi e una tecnica” (Five senses and one technique), that will focus on the ways pastry can mould emotions just as the pieces of delicacies that will do wonders for your palate. All the utmost representatives in fine pastry will join the panel: Iginio Massari, Dario Ranza, Paco torreblanca, Rene Frank, Loretta Fanella and Will Goldfarb

On day two the topic will be “Pasticceria e leggerezza” (Pastry and levity), something that is very timely; the concern for healthy nutrition will be discussed by Luca Montersino, Gianluca Fusto, Joseph Trotta and Francesco Favorito.

Simultaneously to the two conferences, workshops will be animating the Palazzo dei Congressi, along with competitions such as the “Trofeo Art&Pastry” (awarding the best Swiss pastry chef), the CiokoArt Cup (awarding the creator of the best chocolate sculptor) and the Panettone Cup (awarding the best ‘Panettone’ which is a typical Christmas sweet bread loaf originally from Milan, and just as popular in Canton Ticino).

The Festival has an outstanding and promising program for its debut and will definitely give a sweet solace to the hardship of this time in history.
