Christmas is here, and thus begins the season of merrymaking and toasting to new beginnings. When you drink, taking an expression of goodwill, it is important to celebrate with the proper bubbles.

Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne is convivial, elegant, authentic and refined. The gold standard of the brand is epitomised by its credo “loyal to the past, in tune with the zeitgeist and with an eye to the future.” The lavishing sophistication in the packaging serves as a coat of arms to grapes that are harvested exclusively by hand, to keep the berries intact until they enter the press, guaranteeing the quality of an exquisite champagne. This is attested by the whimsical “X’ploration” design created exclusively for Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte.

Indeed Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte is adamant in the patronage of contemporary art. Hence the label seeks to stimulate innovation and discover new talent: every year since 1999, Nicolas Feuillatte appoints the “Artist of the Year”, who creates an original and exclusive work of art that brings added dimension to the brand identity.

Another supporter of visual artists in the field of winery is Bedell Cellers, that has recently collaborated with artist and filmmaker Mickalene Thomas, for the new label of Bedell First Crush Red 2013. In this occasion the artist created a collage from her 2014 series Tête de Femme portraying abstracted female faces constructed from abstracted geometric cutouts. Mickalene welds art history, politics and pop culture in her Picassian female depiction, that stands out on the Bedell bottle.

The winery has a long established tradition of artistic collaborations, with previous releases featuring works by Chuck Close, Barbara Kruger, Eric Fischl, April Gornik and Ross Bleckner. Furthermore, Bedell also stands out for its exceptional eco-friendly trait, since all the hand craft wines are produced in a completely sustainable manner: the 80-acre estate of the vineyards safeguards the ecosystem, wildlife, woodlands, fragile marine estuaries and the health of people.

Be sure that the Art and Winery bond will enrich the Yuletide spirit, inebriating the senses as you are dreaming of a “Wine Christmas.”
