Just finished working on “Thor” cinema adaptation, Kenneth Branagh has already signed to direct “The Boys In The Boat”, based on the non-fiction book written by Daniel James Brown.
The story, stet in 190s, centers around Washington’s University’s powerhouse rowing team, in a crossing movie way from “Chariots of Fire” to “Seabiscuit”.
“‘The Boys in The Boat’ is an epic,” Branagh said in a statement. “I was completely captivated by the characters, the era, and the dreams of a generation unfolding beautifully and dramatically.”
Produced by Weinstein Company, which has chosen Mr.Branagh ad director, the movie is about the Olympic team who, at 1936 Olympics won against other University teams, also to embarrass Hitler’s one, i Berlin itself.
Meanwhile the artisti s working also on “Italian Shoes”, a movie about an old man living in a desolate Island, with actor Anthony Hopkins.
