"Senior" - RÖYKSOPP

The dark alchemy by Röyksopp comes out, again, with an upcoming ep, “Senior”, that closes the circle of electro-ambient-synth-pop experimentations started with the last “Junior”, and, as you are supposed to think, it sounds like the perfect ending of the same dreamlike introspection, instead of the dance attitude given to the World by Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge in the past years of success.
Strange move? Maybe. Of course it can be easily criticized or madly loved.
Because the aim of the well known duo, was to reach the dark side of their own moon, of their past moon we can say, but with less testing than in the same dancy past, crossing from indietronic attitudes to slowly and lazy sounds of songs like the sublime Senior Living, which emotional distance seems to live and rise from the nocturnal jewelry of relaxing and paranoid moods.
But of course, this is the typical minimalism of the North of Europe, full of ambient views (Tricky Two), French-Touch sounds-like (The Fear), lounge atmospheres (Forsaken Cowboy) and the synth blaze of … And The Forest Began To Sing.
But maybe this is not enough for the golden stuff that Röyksopp have generated from their genius minds and hands, in the past albums.
 Transition into a brave-new-dark-world?
