New York’s most celebrated theatrical event “Sleep No More” continues it’s smash-hit interactive performance at Chelsea’s McKittrick Hotel.

Punchdrunk’s award-winning theatrical experience moulds Shakespeare’s classic tragedy Macbeth into a game changing form of immersive theatre, in which roaming audiences experience epic storytelling inside sensory theatrical worlds. Spectators move freely through the beguiling world of the story at their own pace, choosing where to go and what to see, ensuring that everyone’s journey is different and unique. Thusly, the lines between space, performer and spectator are constantly shifting.

The production began performances on March 7, 2011, and officially opened on April 13, 2011 to rave reviews. It has since gone on to win a slew of theatrical honours, including the Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience and the Obie Awards’ Special Citation for Design & Choreography.

The creative team features Felix Barrett (Direction and Design), Maxine Doyle (Direction and Choreography), Stephen Dobbie (Sound Design), Beatrice Minns (Design Associate), and Livi Vaughan (Design Associate).

The company’s infectious format rejects the passive obedience usually expected of audiences, as proof of how life is full of stories that we don’t experience in a linear way. Hence all showgoers are invited to rediscover the childlike excitement and anticipation of exploring the unknown, through an enthralling melange of classic texts, physical performance, award-winning design installation and unexpected sites.
