Belladonna is a great Italian rock band, whose mold recalls the splendor of the great foreign music of the past.
Creating a real Noir Rock, from their first 2006 record, “Metaphysical Attraction“, attracted the attention of critics and public, also nominated for two Grammy Awards in 2008, and hailed by Rolling Stone , GQ, Glamour, with show alongside Dita Von Teese, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Scars On Broadway.
The new album will be released on April 18 “Shooting Dice with God“, recorded in Rome, at Studio Nero completely live, including voice Luana Caraffa, produced, mixed and mastered by Dani Macchi, guitarist and author, with the support of Alex Elena, the music producer in Los Angeles known for his work as a writer and producer with Alice Smith.
An album of the supernatural, dreams, philosophy, symbolism, religion, sociology, sensuality and mystery, on which we talked about with the sexy and talented singer Luana Caraffa.
“It ‘an album that extremes the carnality of our music … we recorded totally live, playing and singing together, as Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones did in the early 70s! It ‘an album that expresses the deep desire to be naked and impose to incredible heights on a wire … to challenge and to transcend.
In Italy there is not a real rock’n’roll scene. §
It is a country where music is not considered part of culture and where however the culture rock’n’roll never came.
So a rock band like Belladonna has much more evidence abroad than in Italy.
We plan many dates in Italy (starting from our Rome, April 13 at BlackOut club) and many others in the rest of the world as always!
We do not have any special wishes regarding where to play in the future, for us the important thing is to play our music without compromise, as we always do and always.”
