Created in 1972 by the International Animated Film Society, the Annie Awards, given last Saturday, have just seen the triumph of “Dragon Trainer” (by Dreamworks) winning 10 prices, and has also reported the boycotting by Disney/Pixar workers, protesting against the voting sessions.
Despite it, Disney was running the awards with “Rapunzel” and “Toy Story 3”, adding the short animation movie “Day & Night” which has won the Best Shot Movie Award.

According to The Guardian, Disney have often been suspicious about the manner in which the International Animated Film Society judge the contenders in spite of the fact that Disney and Pixar films have won the main award for six of the last ten years.
