The closing movie of the 28th edition of Torino Film Festival 2010, will be “Hereafter”, the new creation by the genius of Clint Eastwood. It tells the stories of three different people, touched by death in different ways, and it is announced to come out in genuary 2011.
With Matt Damon, Bryce Dallas Howard and Cécile De France, the movie is only one of the important artistic points in TFF 2010, with the latest movie by Danny Boyle (“The Millionaire”), starring James Franco, “127 Hours”, the real story of Aron Ralston, a climber trapped in Utah mountains, forced to ampute his own arm in order to escape and survive, and the noir comedy “Four Lions”, dedicated to 4 muslims deciding to set up a terroristic cell in london, and “The Bang Bang Club”, realy biopic about 4 young photographers and their work during the Apartheid days.
Adding “Burlesque”, starring Cher and Christina Aguilera, “Mr. Nice” by Bernard Rose and with Rhys Ifans, the political biopic “The Two President”, the solft drama “Winter’s Bone”, winner of the Jury Prize at the last Sundance Film Festival, the return of John Carpenter with his “The Ward”, the retrospective sections about John Houston, Corso Salani and Vitalij Kanevskij and the Gran Premio Torino for John Boorman.
