David Lynch, whos previous forays into music have incluede work on his own soundtracks, has just taken an important turn in his great carreer realeasing a title, “Good Day Today”, backed with “I Know”, for the UK label Sunday Best Recordings.
He sings the tracks, giving a music effort in the middle of Underworld and the young Crystal Castles.
“I am very happy to be with Sunday Best with the songs ‘Good Day Today’ and ‘I Know’. This feels like a good partnership and I’m looking forward to everyone having a good day today. In all my films, I have always been very involved with all that one hears. The creation of this record was a natural extension of my love of sound and music”, said Mr. Lynch to the media.
With an artwork by 4AD legend Vaughan Oliver, the single is available on iTunes now, with a series of remixes to follow in January 2011.
Do not worry: Lynch would never leave the cinema.
