GRAN PREMIO TORINO TO ETTORE SCOLA

Besides the Gran Premio Torino award which will be presented to Ken Loach at this year’s Torino Film Festival, a second award will also be presented to Ettore Scola, a maestro at depicting Italy’s cultural and social scene.

Scola debuted as a director in 1964 with the episode film Se permettete parliamo di donne (Let’s Talk About Women), and became a top name in Italian-style comedies with Hard Time for Princes, Will Our Heroes Be Able to Find Their Friend Who Has Mysteriously Disappeared in Africa?, Dramma della gelosia (Drama of Jealousy), Police Chief Pepe, The Most Wonderful Evening of My Life, and We All Loved Each Other So Much.

Ettore Scola will be in Torino to personally receive the award.
